How to Edit YouTube Files with Different YouTube Video Editors
Most videos uploaded to YouTube are made by amateurs like you and me, usually with modest video making equipment. Step 1. Import YouTube files to the video editor
Install and launch the video editor, then click "Import" or drag the YouTube videos you want to edit into the program. All the files will be shown in the User's Album. You can sort the files by name, duration or type. When you are previewing the files, you can take snapshots of your favorite scenes freely.
Step 2. Trim or split YouTube videos
Highlight the video on the Timeline, and mouse over to its beginning or ending point. When the "Double arrow" appears, drag it to shorten or extend the clip. To restore any trimmed frames, just press "Ctrl+Z" or click the "Undo" button.
If you want to get the middle part of your YouTube video, try the Split function instead. It's very simple. Just play your YouTube video, move the slider to your desired location, and click "Pause". Now click the Scissors icon in the toolbar to divide it into two parts right away. Repeat this until you get your wanted part, then hit "Delete" on the keyboard to remove others.
Step 3. Join YouTube videos
Drag the added YouTube files from your album to the Timeline at bottom one by one. Note that you have to arrange them in the Timeline according to the play order. And don't drag one file to another file, or you'll split it. In order to better arrange several YouTube files without overlapping, you can use the slider bar to move files. When you've finished the job, just click the Play button in the Preview window to view the effect in real time.
Step 4. Crop YouTube videos
Highlight the video in the Timeline, right click it and select "Crop" to access the Crop window. This window is a two-window dialog, letting you compare the real-time effect with ease. In the bottom submenu, you have 3 options to constrain the video. Select 16:9 or 4:3, so that you can get your wanted frame size while still keeping the right aspect ratio. Alternatively, choose Manually, you can drag the marquee to get any frame size video. If any mistakes occur, simply click the "Reset" button to retrieve from scratch.
Step 5. Add more effects to YouTube videos
You can also apply video effects to your YouTube video files. Just go to different tabs above the timeline and choose the effects you want to add. Different kinds of editing effects such as transition, intro/credit, mosaic, tilt shift, face off, jump cut at beat are provided.
Step 6. Share edited YouTube video
After editing, click "Create" and select "YouTube", then input your account and password so that you can share your edited video on YouTube easily. You can also save videos in the video format you prefer or get the optimized videos for your iPhone, iPad, iPod, PSP, Wii, etc. In addition, you can burn your videos to DVD discs for better video preservation.
