Part 1: How to Make a Video with Photos and Music

Here is a video slideshow example on my YouTube channel, made by the top-rated video making software - DVD Slideshow Builder Deluxe. you can put on your Facebook and YouTube profile. Make a video with your own photos and music to bring more fun and surprise.

To make a video with photos and music, you'll need:

Step 1: Add Photos and Music

Download and install DVD Slideshow Builder Deluxe software. Once launched, enter Advanced Mode and you will start from Organize tab. Here, import favorite photos/videos and music to the storyboard. If required, double-click media sources to edit.

Step 2: Change Photo Transitions

When you import photo and video, random photo transition will automatically applied to them. But you can change photo transition by clicking transition thumb on storyboard and select desired transition in the resulting dialog. If you don't want to set transitions yourself, try Standard mode for the Styles - you get auto movie making.

Step3: Save Video to MP4 or Whatever

Go to "Create" tab and in the Output formats drop-down list, select MP4 as the video format. Then click Start to save video for Facebook/YouTube. You can also go to Options button to customize video options, e.g., the video resolution, frame rate, bitrate, audio sample rate, etc.

How to Make a YouTube Video

You are recommended to save video in the following parameters. File size and duration need to be less than 2GB and 15 minutes. Before uploading, see the easy steps above to make a video with video making software.

  • Video Format: MP4 AVC
  • Resolution: 640x480 (1280x720 for High Definition)
  • Video Frame Rate: 29.97fps
  • Sample Rate: 44100

A wide range of formats are supported by YouTube, and you could also output video slideshow in these formats in the picture video software.

After you creating the MP4 file, login your YouTube ID, choose "Account" and click "Upload" button, and then click the big upload button on the left, write down your video title and description. It's better to enter tag for easily searched by others.

How to Make a Facebook Video

Following Facebook movie formats are supported, but not limited to. And the best video format for Facebook video is MP4 Video as to my own experience. When the musical video is created, login Facebook and on your Timeline profile, locate Photo tab next to Status tab and choose the recently created video. Depending on the video size and your connection speed, it'll need minutes to upload your video to Facebook. While the video is uploaded to Facebook, you can also fill some necessary information about your Facebook video.

  • Windows Media Video (wmv)
  • MPEG Video (mpg, mpeg)

    You mean the last video shared on Facebook? It's created with Fantashow. When you open it and add some photos, drag the Flow Mirror style to the storyboard, that's it! Then you need output it as MOV file to embed to your website, or upload to YouTube/Facebook to get the embed code.     if you plan to download the trial version to create videos for youtube, better not to do it. because it creates a watermark. but the software is awesome its pretty easy to use with lots of tools.

    After adding your video files, click Personalize tab on top, you'll see the Music button above storyboard. Click it and choose a music file on your computer. BTW, you could mute the video's sound in the Edit Video windows by clicking the speaker icon.
