An MP3 file includes not only the actual track, but also other information—ID3 tag—about the song, such as name, artist, album art and more. It's critical that the ID3 tag be correct and matching, otherwise iTunes or other music software may not be able to sort and manage songs properly. Fortunately, it's not hard to change ID3 tag for MP3 (or M4A) file with the help of the Wondershare TidyMyMusic for Mac (Wondershare TidyMyMusic), which is an all-in-one tool to find and embed ID3 tags to MP3 files. In addition, it enables you to edit the ID3 tag by yourself. Can’t wait to check it out? Just get the program through the downloading link below and follow the detailed tutorial.
1 Import your music library
Launch the program after installation. As soon as it opens, it will scan your iTunes library and add all the songs in.
Note: You may have more music not managed by iTunes. To import those songs, you should go to Tidy Music to do it by yourself. Just drag the music folder to the file tray or click the Open File button and select files to add in the file tray.
2 Find ID3 tags for the songs
To find ID3 tags in batch, go to the header part of the program and find a Scan button. Tick the checkbox of Search for Unidentified Songs and click the Scan button, then this program will begin to find ID3 tags for all the songs in the file tray.
Note: If you just want to find ID3 tag for one certain song, it’s easy. Select the song and click the Identify button on the bottom of the right column. Then wait for the searching process to be done, which will be very quick.
3 Change ID3 tags with a click
After all the ID3 tags are found out, you can embed to the MP3 files with a click. Select the song and its original and newly found information will be displayed in the right column. If you are contented about the newly found information, click the Apply button on the bottom to embed the ID3 tag to the MP3 file. To change ID3 tags for several songs, just select them and click the Apply button in the right column.
Note: Some of you may want to edit the ID3 tags by yourself. Select one song and click the Edit icon in the right column. Then fill in the editing field as you prefer.
Quite easy, isn’t it? You should download the program to give it a shot. It will never let you down.
