What’s new in iOS 9 beta?

If you happen to be an iOS user, the update is great no doubt. Moreover, you will also be entitled to try the public beta when the release will be made in July (the finished version update will not see the light of day before the fall). But we completely understand waiting for so long is definitely not something you would like to do, so here comes the good news. A developer preview is available at present and you can actually install the same with or without a developer account. The first beta of iOS 9 is exclusively meant for iOS developers, while Apple has to say that installation of the software is only meant for devices registered with iOS Developer Program that can be signed up by paying a minimal amount only.

Few points to remember

As a member of iOS Developer program you can install iOS 9 Beta on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch using few step-by-step instructions, whether or not u have a UDID account. But before everything else, few points must be kept in mind:

  • It is vital you enroll in the membership plan of $99 per year prior to getting access to the Developer Preview or beta versions of newly lunched iOS software.
  • Be prepared for few unknown bugs or broken features as the beta versions are generally untested.
  • Back up important data and settings on your iOS device, via iTunes or iCloud prior to switching over to iOS 9 Beta.
  • The Beta is officially compatible with devices like iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, 6, 6 Plus, 5, 5C, 5S, 4S, iPad Air 2, Air, mini, mini 3, with retina display- 3 and 4, 2, Retina iPad mini, iPod touch (5th generation).

Installing without a Developer Account

  • • Back up the device to iCloud (opr iTunes). Now if you wish to go back to any previous version, there is a need to restore all the personal content backed up to iCloud. Always remember, anything not backed up will be lost.
  • Locate the correct beta of iOS 9 for your device and download. You can search through Evad3rs.Net. It’s always vital you find the correct version for your device and download the same, lest any problem occurs later. In case, you do not know about the exact one you need, find the model number on the back cover of the iPhone or iPad.
  • Extract the .ipsw file to your PC. Now connect the device to the computer and launch iTunes, as earlier. Hold down the shift key on Windows PC or option key on Mac and just click on ‘check for update’.
  • Now select the iOS 9 file and get started.

Checking for the final process

  • After doing all that you are supposed to, right click on .ipsw file from the extracted folder and click ‘Open’ to begin with the installation process of iOS 9 Beta
  • Click ‘Ok’ to confirm and allow iTunes to update the device with iOS 9
  • The moment the device reboots, swipe ‘Slide to upgrade’ slider and finish the installation process.
