Transfer Photos from an iPhone to iPhoto
Have many photos on your iPhone and want to transfer photos from an iPhone to iPhoto for management or free up iPhone space? Actually importing photos both in Camera Roll and Photo Library from iPhone to iPhoto is very easy. Here in the following, I’ll introduce an easy and fast way to transfer photos from an iPhone to iPhoto. Read on to learn how to achieve your goal easily.
Wondershare TunesGo (Mac) is the iPhone tool that I recommend to sync photos from an iPhone to iPhoto. Though iPhoto lets you transfer photos from iPhone Camera Roll, it is not so handy and it can’t transfer photos from an iPhone Photo Library to computer while Wondershare TunesGo (Mac) can do it for you quickly and accurately. It’s fully compatible with Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks, Yosemite and El Capitan.
Step 1.Use a USB cable to Connect your iPhone with your Mac
Plug in the USB cable to the USB cable on your Mac and connect it with your iPhone as well. Launch Wondershare TunesGo (Mac) and you can see it detects your iPhone and display the basic info in the starting window. This iPhone software fully supports the latest iPhone 5s and other older models running in iOS 9.
Step 2. Importing photos from iPhone to iPhoto
From the staring window, you can see the item "Photos". Click it to reveal the Photos window. From the popped up window, you can see that iPhone photos are saved in 2 places: Camera Roll and Photo Library. On the left side, click the Camera Roll or the Photo Library to reveal all photos in this place. Select photos and click "Export" which is on the top of the window. In the appeared dialogue box, find a place to save these exported iPhone photos.
From right side of the Wondershare TunesGo (Mac) window, you can also select photo albums and transfer them from iPhone to iPhoto. Fine the photo album, right click it and select "Export".
After exporting iPhone photos, you can use iPhoto on your Mac to import any of these photo on your Mac. And with iPhoto and these photos, you can create photo albums, customize personal calendar, make slideshow and card, etc. This is how to transfer iPhone photos to iPhoto. And by installing Wondershare TunesGo (Mac), in the future, if needed, you can import iPhoto photos to iPhone as well.
