Easily Share Image Albums With Anyone using Shared Photo Streams (iOS 9)

A shared photo stream is a great iOS feature that allows you to create and share an album of images with anyone very easily. The only prerequisite to using this feature is that the person or people you are sharing the albums with must be using an iPhone or iPad that has iCloud Photo sharing enabled. The people you share the album with will be able to like, comment and even receive notifications about any new photos you add. 

To get stared enjoying this cool feature, you need to first of all create your first shared Photo Stream. This article will show you how to do this on your iPhone or iPad. 

Part 1: How to Create a Shared Photo Stream with iCloud Photo Sharing

To create a shared photo stream on your device, simply follow these very simple steps. 

Step One: To begin with launch the photos App on your iPhone and iPad

Step Two: At the Bottom of the navigation menu, you should see the Shared Tab. Tap on this tab to continue.

Step 3: If you had created shared streams before you should be in the Activity Menu. From the Activity Menu tap on Sharing in the upper left corner to return to the main menu. If you hadn’t created any Shared streams skip this step.

Step 4: In the main menu tap on the Plus sign. It should be in the upper left corner.

Step 5: In the Next window, you will need to give your Shared Stream a name. Once you settle on a name for the stream, tap on “Next” to continue.

Step 6: In the next step, choose the people you would like to add. These are the people who will see your Shared Stream, comment and like the images. Tap on Create once you have added enough people.

Part 2: How to Add and Post Photos to your Shared Stream

Now that you have created a Shared stream complete with everyone you want to share your albums with, Let’s see how to add photos to the stream we just created.

Step 1: Begin by tapping on the stream you just created to open it.

Step 2: Tap on the Plus sign to add photos to the stream

Step 3: Choose the photos you would like to add and then tap on “Done” in the upper right corner.

Step 4: A popup window will appear allowing you to type what you want to say about the images. Write a small caption and then tap “Post” 

And that’s it, everyone in that Shared stream will be able to see your photos.

If at some point you want to add more people to the Shared Stream or remove someone, you can simply tap the “People” tab along the bottom of the screen. You can then easily remove or invite new people, manage the posting capabilities of invitees, create a public website for your images, enable and disable notifications and even delete the album entirely.
