How to share and burn iMovie to iDVD
Having thoughts about how to further store the fun times captured on your iPhone or iPad or Mac? The two options that are most commonly used are iMovie or iDVD. These two software can be used to achieve what you want and can be used together or individually. Making a choice between iMovie and iDVD depends on how you want to edit your videos.
iMovie is a software that is used for editing videos not only on your Mac, but also on your iPhone or iPad, where you can cut the video or splice it together again allowing you to direct how the video goes. If you want to improve your videos to make the content easier to follow or just add visuals, iMovie is the right tool for you.
On the other hand, iDVD is a software that you can use only on your Mac, obviously because iPads and iPhones don’t have access to DVD drives to burn the disc. It lets you move a finished video from your Mac to a DVD. It has the ability to cut your video into chapters so that it is easier to navigate, to adjust the picture quality for better viewing, and also create menus just like what you get with retail DVDs.
But even if you do or do not use iMovie, you would still need to use iDVD to move your movie to a disc for the longer run. Another advantage of using iDVD over iMovie is that you can share the disc with your friends who don’t own a Mac, making it more portable and practical.
