Accidentally deleting an important file is a terrible thing, let alone to delete a whole partition. You can restore the deleted file from the Recycle Bin or Trash when they are still there, or get back the previous content by pressing "Ctrl + Z". Then how about the files emptied from Recycle Bin or Trash, or partitions lost permanently? Luckily, you can use an NTFS undelete tool to recover all deleted files from NTFS, even recover the whole NTFS partition or disk.
Undelete NTFS files or undelete NTFS partiton
Before showing the NTFS undelete steps, we need to find a computer having deleted files or partitions on NTFS file system. Choose the right version, download and install it on your computer. Then launch it.
Step1. Choose a recovery mode
When launch the NTFS undelete tool, there are two recovery modes for your choice, the Wizard and the Standard Mode.
The Wizard: This recovery mode is quite friendly to beginners, for there is only two simple questions for users to check the answers. Then the program will all the left.
The Standard Mode: It's good for experienced computer users. It provides different recovery options for users to choose from. If you want to undelete files from NTFS, you can choose Lost File Recovery, or Partition Recovery for a whole NTFS partition recovery.
Here let's move forward wtih the Wizard.
Step2. Select the file type for recovery
Select the file type that you are looking for, such as photos, videos, audio files, documents, and emeil. Or you can choose them all by checking "All files".
Step3. Select the file location for recovery
You can choose the specific location on the NTFS system where you lost your files. If you lost the NTFS parition, you need to check "I can't find my partition" to find back the lost NTFS partition at first.
Step4. Begin to scan
If you just want to undelete NTFS files, you will be here and only need to hit on the "Start" to scan your lost files. Please enable the "Deep Scan", it can increase the success of file recovery.
If you choosed to find back the lost partition, you are here getting your lost partitions. After searching the lost partitions, select the one that you want to recover, then proceed to scan all files stored on it.
Step5. Preview and recover
After the scanning, all recoverable files are well-organized and listed in the scanning results. You can preview to check whether the one you are looking for is found or not. Or you can directly search the filename in the Filter if you remember it. Then check the file and hit the "Recover".
Note: Don't save the recovered data on the orginal place again. Find another partition or other external disk for it, for safety consideration.
