Get the Best Program Like Handbrake for Windows (Mountain Lion & Mavericks)

Handbrake is a famous, open-source, cross-platform DVD ripper and video converter. With it, you can convert DVD or video to the limited video formats like MP4 with MPEG-4 or H.264 encoded. However, Handbrake has many limitations on video conversion.

Handbrake Limitations

  • It only supports MPEG-4 files as input, and MPEG-4 or MKV files as output.
  • It often crashes when dealing with encrypted DVDs.
  • It can only let you add files one by one. You can't use it to batch convert videos.
  • File output quality is compromised. The original video quality can't be 100% preserved.
  • If you have trouble in using Handbrake or want to find another brilliant Handbrake equivalent without any (input or output) format limitation, you can use below the Handbrake equivalent for Windows or Handbrake equivalent for Mac (Mavericks and Mountain Lion included). i have a 10 minute video that over a GB. (stupid big) i want to reduce the size without killing the video i know there will be quality lost but how do you know what settings work best. is it trial and error for each video or is there a formula?
I can''t take this article serious, since you''re talking nonsense about quality loss. The only way you are going to get zero quality loss, is if you''re saving it uncompressed (which nobody wants in this case), or if you''re not re-encoding, meaning you''re not actually converting anything, but only cutting/joining videos (which would have to be of the same exact format). All the mentioned programs will have quality loss, but in all of the mentioned programs it''s your choice what bitrate/quality you choose, and therefore how big the quality loss is.
