This tutorial will focus on the latter: easily transform your existing digital photos/videos into cool miniature style clips using a Tilt-shift generator. Here, Wondershare Video Editor (Video Editor for Mac) is highly recommended. It's a feature-rich photo/video editing application that anyone can use. Now download a free trial below and start to make a tilt-shift effect in a few easy steps.
1Import your digital photos or video clips
Click import or drag pictures/videos on your hard drive directly into the program. Since almost all popular formats are supported, you can smoothly load all files you get while maintaining the original quality. Tips: To enrich your photo collection, you can take snapshots your favorite clips freely in the previewing window.
Now, you'll see all files imported showing as thumbnails in the left pane. Drag and drop them into the Timeline.
2Create a Tilt-shift effect in a click
Right click a video clip or photo on the Timeline, and select “Power Tool” in the pop-up menu. When you come to the “Power Tool” Window, tick off “Apply Tilt-shift to the clip” checkbox. Then, adjust size of the focal area and its location in the picture. Now only a small zone of the whole video frame will be in focus and the surrounding area will be blurred. Play it to preview the real-time effect. When everything goes right, click “OK” to return to the primary window.
3Tweak the Tilt-shift effect (optional)
Additionally, you can tweak the colors, saturation, contrast, etc. to exaggerate natural colors, making your video/picture a little more vivid. To access the editing panel, you can right click the clip or hit the “Edit” icon in the middle tool bar. In the pop-up window, brightness, contrast, hue, etc. are all freely adjustable.
4Save your creation
When you're satisfied with the real-time effect, simply click Create to export it. In the output window, select a video format like WMV, MOV, AVI, MKV, MP4, etc. to save on your computer. Also, you can choose to share your creation onto YouTube, Facebook, Twitter directly from this Tilt-shift maker.
Tips: You can also import audio files like MP3, AAC, WMA, etc. to apply a background music, or record a voiceover to give a narration.
