How to Make MP4 Smaller

1 Add the target video files
Before we start download and install Wondershare Video Converter. Then click the “Add Files” button in the main interface. Choose the videos you want to reduce size in the Add File dialog box and click “Open” to import. You can also directly drag and drop the target video files to the program.
2 Define video settings
Click the “Settings” button in the lower right corner of the primary window. Choose the video codec, e.g. H.264, from the Video format list, or stay with the default codec. Then adjust other output parameters like resolution, bit rate and frame rate by clicking the arrow beside the column to choose from the drop-down list.
You can also automatically make your MP4 smaller. To do this, choose "Small Size" option, and hit the “OK” button. After that, you’ll return to the main window. You may notice that the size of MP4 has been reduced.

3 Save the new file
Then click the Browse button of Output Folder at the bottom of the program to specify the output destination. Hit the “Convert” button in the lower right corner of the program window to start the video conversion process. After several seconds, you’ll get the new file which is smaller than the original one.
