How to Add Audio to Video or Replace Audio in a Video File

Easy steps to add audio to video files
Now follow simple steps to add audio to video files (new audio file or voiceover), or replace audio in video.
Step 1: Add audio and video files to the program
After downloaded and installed Wondershare Video Editor, you can either click Import on the primary windows and select audio and video files from your computer, or simply drag and drop audio and video files to the User's Album.
Step 2: Add audio files or voiceovers
All the video and audio clips on the tracks of Timeline will be combined into a single video at last. Therefore, you just need to add audio file(s) to the Audio track on the Timeline, or add a new voiceover by clicking the record button on the toolbar above Timeline.
To add audio file to video
You just need to add audio and video files from User's Album to Timeline and create a new video. This way, the audio file(s) will be merged into the video as an audio track. Note that the original audio track will be kept. If you want to remove the original audio, you can right click to choose "Audio Detach" to separate the original audio from video and then delete the detached audio in audio track,which will be illustrated below in details.

To add voiceover to video
Instead of adding music to video, you can also add voiceover to video. It's a fun way to add narration or complementary audio to video. To do so, just click the Record button on the toolbar above Timeline, the Record dialog will appear. Click the red Record button and you can start to talk in 3 seconds. The voiceover will be added to User's Album as well as Timeline when completed.
Voiceover to Video Tips: Voiceover can use a sub audio track besides audio file track if necessary.
To replace audio track of video
This is similar to add audio to video. Just an extra step is required: delete the video. To do so, right click the video you want to replace audio in it, and select Audio Detach. After that, delete the audio file from the track. As described above, you can then drag and drop a new audio file from User's Album to Audio track. Finally, click "Create" button to save the new video.
Step 3: Export video with new audio track
When all is ready, click "Create" and select "Format". From the list, choose any format you want as the output format. If necessary, also change the advanced settings. Finally, click "Create" button to export a new video file to the specified folder on computer.
