H.264 Cutter: How to Cut H.264 Files
I found so many people want to cut H.264 files. Below are questions they asked in some forums:
"Is there any way to cut raw H.264 videos frame-accurately?"
" I have an H.264 file in mp4 container. I want to cut some portions of it without re-encoding."
"i have a big MOV file, which came from my canon camera. The codec is H.264 with sound integrated. I need to keep only a part of it, so i want to cut it but not to encode it."
When you're here, you probably want to split H.264 files, as well. If so, you're lucky. Here, I'll share such an excellent solution to let you cut H.264 files frame-accurately as well as without re-encoding. Can't believe it? It's absolutely true.
The secret is to use Wondershare Video Converter (Video Converter for Mac). Besides allowing you to cut any part of the H.264 file quickly and easily, it also lets you customize some video parameters like frame rate etc. And the process is so damn easy, just a few simple steps.
1 Add H.264 files to this H.264 cutter
There are two different ways you can use to add your H.264 file to this H.264 splitter. On the main menu of the interface, you can hit the "Add Files" button to browse your computer and import the H.264 file you want to this app's pane. And the other way is to drag and drop your H.264 file from the computer to this app's pane.
2 Cut any part from your H.264 file
Click the Edit button on the video item bar, and then you'll see the interface shown as follows.
At the bottom of the Trim window, you can respectively drag and drop the two sliders to exactly extract the clip of the video you want (Note: The preview window can let you preview the video). If it's ok, just click OK to comfire it.
3 Select H.264 as output format and customize frame bit etc.
On the Output Format pane, you need to click the format icon, and then in the output format list, select MP4 or MOV (according to your own file format) as the output format. Then, at the bottom of the pane, click the gear shape button, next, select H.264 as the video encoder and then customize its frame rate, video resolution, bit rate etc.
4 Export the new H.264 file
When everything is ok, just click the "Convert" button at the lower-right corner of the main interface to export the new H.264 file. After that, you can find the output file according to the output path you've set.
