How to Undelete iPhone Text Messages
How can I undelete SMS on my iPhone 4S?
When reading texts from one of my customers, I accidentally deleted the whole thread, so I lost all of his messages. It's very important to me. I don't have any backup. Can I undelete those messages? I don't need to import them back to my iPhone. I only want that I can read them again. Please help me if you have any advice. Thanks.
Usually, the deleted messages are still there, until you write new data to overwrite them. Therefore, the first thing you need to do is to set your iPhone into the flight mode ASAP, so that you can get a greater chance to undelete your iPhone SMS. Have done it already? Then, you need an iPhone messages undeleting program which can help you to directly scan your iPhone and recover deleted messages.
As to the iPhone message undeleting tool, you can try Wondershare Dr.Fone for iOS (Mac iPhone Data Recovery), or Wondershare Dr.Fone for iOS (iPhone Data Recovery for Windows), professional and safe. You can use either of them to undelete messages directly from your iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS.
Download the free trial version below to have a try.
Step 1. Connect your iPhone and enter the scanning mode
Before doing anything else, connect your iPhone to the computer. Then run the program on your computer and be ready to enter the scanning mode by following the list below if you use iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS (download a plug-in first):
1. Hold your iPhone and click Start;
2. Hold Power and Home buttons at the same time for exactly 10 seconds;
3. Release the Power button, and keep the Home button pressed, until you're told that you've entered the scanning mode successfully.
The program will run an auto-scan on your iPhone after you entered the scanning mode.
For iPhone 5/4S users, you only need to click Start Scan on the window below to scan your device after connecting it.
Step 2. Preview and undelete iPhone messages
The program not only scans data recently deleted, but also scans those currently on your iPhone. Therefore, the scanning time depends on how much data you have on your iPhone. After the scan, it will generate a report where you can preview all the scanned messages, including iMessages. Mark those you want and click "Recover" to save them on your computer.
Note: If you want to separate messages deleted recently from those still on your iPhone, you can use the slide button on the top: Only display the deleted items.
Step 1. Choose a recovery mode
As a Mac user, the first thing you need to do is to connect your iPhone to the computer. Then run the program and choose a recovery mode. You're supposed to choose this one: Recover from iOS Device, if you don't have an iTunes backup, and move on.
