How to Export Notes from iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to Computer
Your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch holds your entire note history in its Notes app. It would be an unfortunate thing for you accidentally lose your device and have all these notes get deleted. Therefore, regularly backing up your notes on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch is essential. So, let's talk about how to export iPhone, iPad or iPod touch notes to your computer for backup.
How to export notes from iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to computer
Actually, iTunes can help to back up your data of iPhone, iPad or iPod touch when you sync with it. The bad point is that the iTunes backup file is a kind of Sqlitedb file, which doesn't allow you to view or access the content of it. Further more, the backup file will be updated every time when you sync your device, and you'll lose the previous data after sync. To export your iPhone notes, you need another third-party program.
Here is my recommendation: Wondershare Dr.Fone for iOS(iPhone Data Recovery) (Windows) or Wondershare Dr.Fone for iOS (Mac iPhone Data Recovery)(newly supported iOS 9) , which allows you to directly scan and export notes from iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to your computer as a readable HTML file. Moreover, you can export other data on your device, too, such as photos, videos, contacts, messages, etc. Read on and follow the steps below to export your data.
Download the trial version below to try it for free!
Step 1: Launch the program and connect your device
First of all, launch Dr.Fone on your computer after the installation, and connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. When you device is detected, you'll get the interface below.

Now, you can directly click Start Scan on the window of the program to scan your iPhone 6 Plus/6/5C/5S/5/4S, iPad with Retina display, iPad mini, The new iPad, iPad 2 and iPod touch 5.
If you use iPhone 4/3GS, iPad 1 or iPod touch 5, follow the guide below to get into the scanning mode to scan it:
- Hold your device and click the Start button.
- Hold Power and Home buttons at the same time immediately after the step one, for exactly 10 seconds.
- After 10 seconds, release the Power button but keep pressing Home button for another 10 seconds until you're told that you've successfully entered the scanning mode.
After that, Wondershare Dr.Fone will begin scanning your device for data on it.

When the scan completes, all data on your device will be scanned out and displayed in categories, not only notes, such as contacts, messages, camera roll, etc. You can preview your notes one after another before exporting.
