Introduction of MPlayer and VLC

MPlayer is a free, open-source and highly-portable multimedia player. It started as a Linux media player but later extended its support to Windows. It’s capable of playing virtually any existing media formats including the AVI, MKV, RMVB, MP4, MOV and etc. It's also capable of downloading and saving streaming videos. But the worst part is that it is very complex to use, especially for the beginners.

VLC is another powerful and amazing media player. It allows you to play almost all types of video and audio formats. It’s widely used because of its lightness and easy-to-use interface with high performance. What’s more, you can easily set up your own favorite customization containing advanced features.

Better Player than MPlayer and VLC

If you’re looking for an easy-to-use yet all-in-one media player, the Wondershare Player will be a better option. It supports almost all of the widely used and popular formats such as the WMV, AVI, MKV, Ogg, OGM, 3GP, Real Media, QuickTime and much more. With it, you can run every video or audio file seamlessly because it’s lightweight and takes up relatively lower CPU memory usage. On top of that, the program files themselves costs very little space on the hard drive. This means that you can run the Wondershare Player while multi-tasking without worrying about your system freezing out or crashes. What’s more, it comes with a clean and add-free interface that can let you easily adjust the video and audio settings according to your needs.

sorry, I meant BUT
It looks good BUY Mplayerx works with the remote control of my imac. So...
Is wondershare player available for Linux (Fedora), does it have a built-in support for subtitle search (let's say from opensubtitles.org), does it allow to enhance the audio to 200% without audio going mad (as is possible in vlc). There are a lot of nice front ends to mplayer. Perhaps smplayer is the most popular one. and it is quite easy to use smplayer. which allows you to customize the interface and skins etc. If there is a linux version of wondershare, I will definitely give it a try. :)
