Contacts plays an important role in people's communication. If you have an iPhone, you may want to manage iPhone contacts well, like add contacts, import/export contacts and delete contacts easily. Here, we'd like to show you two ways to manage contacts on your iPhone.
It's quite easy to manage iPhone contacts on PC. All that you need is to download a powerful iPhone contacts manager - Wondershare TunesGo (for Windows users).
With it, you're able to transfer contacts to iPhone from Outlook Express, Outlook 2003/2007/2010/2013, Windows Address Book and Windows Live Mail, and vCard file, and the other way around. Apart from the contacts on the iPhone' memory, you can backup contacts saved on Exchange, Yahoo!, icloud and more accounts to the computer. Besides, you can delete contacts that you don't want to keep. If you want to add new contacts, you can edit contact information, including phone number, email, address.
Step 1. Launch MobileGo and connect iPhone with the computer
To begin with, launch TunesGo on your computer. Use a USB cable to connect your iPhone with the computer. Then, your iPhone will be quickly recognized.
Step 2. Manage contacts on iPhone
Now, click "Contacts" in the left directory tree. in the Contacts category, you can view all contacts including those on accounts. In the contact management window, you can add/import/export/delete contacts with ease.
To add a new contact, click "New". A small window pops up. In this window, add your photo, name, phone number and email. To add more information, click "Add Field". Then, you can add web site, IM, address, data, organization and even the middle name.
To import contacts to iPhone, you should click "Import/Export">"Import contacts from computer". When the drop-down list appears, you can choose to import contacts from Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Windows Address Book, and vCard file.
This program also lets you export contacts from Exchange, iCloud, Yahoo!, iPhone memory, etc to the computer, Outlook and more. Select contacts you want to export. Likewise, click "Import/Export" > "Export Selected Contacts" or "Export All Contacts". Then, in the pull-down menu, you get five choices: you can export contacts to a single/multiple vCard file(s), Outlook Express, Windows Address Book, Windows Live Mail and Outlook 2003/2007/2010/2013.
Note: Before exporting contacts on your iCloud, Yahoo!, Exchange, and other accounts, you should first log in the accounts on your iPhone.
If you have many contacts that you seldom use, you can also delete them in batch. Select the contacts you decide to delete. Click "Delete">"Yes".
With lots of duplicate contacts on your iPhone, you're capable of merging them. Click "De-duplicate". When this program detects those duplicate contacts, you will get a window. By default, all contacts with duplicate information are ticked off. If you want to merge some, you can uncheck with contacts that you don't want to merge. Then , choose a match type at the top line. After that, click "Selected merge".
Well, you can also manage contacts on your iPhone. Tap "Contacts". You can add contacts, edit contacts, delete contacts and more. However, you can just deal with contacts one by one. What if you have hundreds of contacts to manage. It will be a huge work. On the contrary, with the way in Part 1, you can do it quickly and effortlessly. Therefore, to do the iPhone contact management, I prefer the way introduced in Part 1.
