I want to watch a mkv file, SBS with .sub, so I have Quick Time + latest Perian, it doesn't open the mkv file. VLC plays the sub well, but has no audio. On DivX player I have audio, but no sub. I've tired MPlayer, I have audio, the .sub or idx is supported but not visible... any ideas???

Both versions of MKV Player for Mac I find better and more effective than Perian in my opinion.

This is very good for Mac users to know. I actually like MKV Player for Mac VLC because I personally think it works the best out of the others listed. Not to mention it’s the fastest.

Hi, Jason. MKV is not supported by Windows Media Player in Windows either. You can resort to third party media players like KMPlayer or VLC. Or convert it to its supported format using our Video Converter. Best regards,
Jason
I did not know that the .mkv file format was not native supported by Quicktime, I think you can play it just fine on a Windows computer, or you need something additional too?
