As we know, most of the files purchased from iTunes Store are DRM protected. That means, you can play them only on specific devices and computers. You cannot use the DRM protected files on any random computer or portable media player. To avoid this problem, you need to convert the media files into a more common digital audio encoding format known as MP3.

To transfer iTunes to MP3, you need iTunes to MP3 Converter, which helps you easily convert iTunes music to MP3 with high quality.

Download Win Version

Step 1: Add DRM protected iTunes files

You can either click "Add" button to insert the iTunes music you want to convert, or easily drag & drop the files into "Getting started" table.

Transfer iTunes to MP3

Tips: This software supports batch conversion, so you can add several files at a time.

Step 2: Choose MP3 as your output audio format

Click the "Settings" button, you can set the sample rate, channel, encoder, etc. You can also change the output file location through "Output path", or the output files will be located as default.

Convert iTunes to MP3

Step 3: Start the conversion

Click "Start" to start converting iTunes to MP3. After converting, the audio are DRM-ripped. With this iTunes to MP3 Converter, you can finish the process in several minutes.

Tips: How to transfer DRM-free Music to MP3 Player

Most MP3 player could be detected by computer as a removable storage which could be access from My Computer. Double click on the drive to explore the contents.

When you are using Wondershare iTunes Music Converter, just click the Find Target button next to Start button, and the DRM free files will be there by default. Then simply drag and drop music files to the removable storage. Normally you will find your music on MP3 player immediately when the copy process complete.

Hi Samuel, I have tried many times now with the transfer and have also sought computer experts advice and it seems that 'wondershare' hasn't worked for me. Please advise how I may be able to get a refund.
  • Jessica  2012-02-16 12:25
When I converted them in the wondershare window it says the full song was downloaded, but when I go to drop them into my Sansa player there is only 59 sec. on all of them???
  • Samuel  2012-02-13 01:47
Generally, connect your mp3 player to computer and you will see a removable drive on My Computer that contains all your music files. Copy and paste the converted MP3 files there. If they are DRM-free files, your MP3 player will play them like a charm.
  • PntzRndm  2012-02-11 16:25
I already converted the music to mp3's. I just wanna be able to transfer the damn music to my mp3 player. Cause I'm poor and can't afford an ipod.
  • :(  2012-02-08 00:51
You have to buy the stupid software. Not worth the time or the money
  • Samuel  2012-02-07 02:52
It doesn't make sense. Music files from CD are not DRM protected. You could locate music files as this: right click a song and select Show in Windows Explorer, then copy and paste files to GoGear manually. They are visitors like you, not employees.
  • David  2012-02-06 21:38
are you an employee of wondershare or just making a random comment?...
  • David  2012-02-06 21:37
Hi Samuel. I have started again from scratch and now see that the Phillips go gear is collecting the songs that I have downloaded from purchases made through 'amazon' , it will not however transfer the songs that I want from itunes and these are songs downloaded from my own cd collection onto itunes. Therefore can you advise why they won't transfer to the go gear mp3 player. I also am intrigued by the messages posted by Lupita and Ryan who are either employees? or random people with nothing better to do?. Please advise. Regards.

wat the heck this dont even fall togther
  • David  2012-02-04 20:24
when you say 2this is stupid" are you referring to my comments or otherwise?
  • ryan  2012-02-04 16:38
    this is stupid
  • David  2012-01-31 20:45
Hi Samuel....thanks again for the response, I am beginning to wish i'd opted for the free trial before committing to the purchase of wondershare. I am going to start from scratch and see if I can work through it again. I will update you soon. Thanks again.

    this doesn't make sence

A general DRM-free music file has megabytes (thousand of kilobytes) in size depending on duration, if it's only hundreds of kilobytes, DRM has probably not been removed in a correct way. Make sure you have the account the authorize your computer. If the music files could be played without asking for authorization, but can't be played on your MP3 player, make sure the audio files are compatible with the device. Change to another audio format such as WMA and adjust the audio parameters if necessary. Hi, I have gone into Properties and it seems I don't specifically have any tab/area within properties that has a licence tab. I do have a security tab but within this tab, I have 4 group / user names and none of these will allow me to check/change the special permissions . I am unfortunately not able to play my wondershare converted playlist on another media player as I don't have anything but an ipod and this new Phillips MP3 player. I do have some MP3 tracks downloaded onto amazon and they have transferred automactically through syncing with the phillips mp3 player, I actually didn't want these tracks to be transferred. It will not however transfer the tunes i've dragged from itunes to a playlist for wondershare to convert and then sync or transfer / drag to the phillips device. Sorry you must be as frustrated as i am. I'm sure you'd be able to do this if you were sat at my computer but thats what makes it more frustrating. Do you have anymore suggestions?.
  • Samuel  2012-01-16 02:41
PS: right click on the music file and click "Properties". There is usually a License tab for DRM protected files.
  • Samuel  2012-01-16 02:35
Hi David, sorry to disturb you again. If you are using iTunes, show the Get Info dialog, and "Protected AAC audio file" will be given if it is a DRM'ed AAC file. Or play your song with other media players, if it's a DRM protected file, you will be prompted to enter the account information you use to purchase the music. No play without account. BTW, if you don't have the account information, you cannot remove DRM with this product. This is why we call it 'legal DRM removal'. Hope it helps.
  • David  2012-01-15 20:57
Thank you for your patience but how do i ensure that the DRM has been removed?...My files are showing MPEG4 still. Kind Regards.
  • Samuel  2012-01-09 02:41
Philips GoGear MP3 Player has a push-out USB, so plug it into your computer, and normally you could find it on My Computer under Drives and Removable Storage. Double click it to explore the contents. Next, go to the output path of the converted file, "C:Documents and SettingsAdministratorMy DocumentsWondershare Music ConverterOutput" by default, or simply click the Folder button to open it. Finally, drag and drop the converted files to the USB storage window you open already. Tip: Make sure the DRM has been removed before transferring.

Hi its a USB phillips go-gear player- I have seen that the songs i have stored in my windows program have transferred automactically to the USB mp3 player however the songs I want from my itunes libary haven't transferred despite doing the step by step music converter with wondershare. I saw that the tunes I had selected to convert through Wondershare loaded into the music converter but then they didn't appear in my phillips mp3 player when I took it out of my computer to view what had been downloaded/transferred. Please advise thanks for your help.

Hi David, what kind of MP3 player do you have? The MP3 songs are stored in the output path (displayed at the bottom of the program). You'll need to import songs to your MP3 player manually. If you have any more questions, pls contact us via online help.
  • David  2011-12-29 23:41
I have done the conversion as outlined above, converting particular itunes songs to MP3 (originally MP4) however how do I now transfer these to the MP3 player. I have also paid to register but i'm confused as it hasn't transferred my tunes onto the MP3 player.
