How to Annotate PDF Files in Adobe Acrobat
Now PDF is the most widely used file format in business circle, daily study and entertainment. You might receive PDF files regularly and need to make some comments on them like what you do when you read a paperback, say add sticky note, arrow, text, strike through or even highlight the text. Here in this article, we're exploring how to annotate PDF files with Adobe Acrobat X Pro. Follow the steps below to learn how to make comments on PDF in Acrobat.
Step 1. Open PDF. Go to the File>Open, browse and locate the PDF file you need to annotate.
Step 2. Enable Comment Tools. Click the Comment on the top right of the main pane to reveal the whole Comment menu. It provides easy access to the tools you need to review, annotate and mark up a PDF document.
- Annotation tools enable you to add sticky notes, highlight text, attach other documents, and insert audio commentary.
- Drawing Markups allows you to add graphic shapes and drawings on PDF
- Reviews offer a quick access to tools and services for shared review. It is the right place to manage reviews as well.
Step 3. Comment on PDF files. Select any tool you need, say sticky note, from the Comment pane and click on the specific locations of PDF where you need to annotate. And in the pop-up dialogue box, type in the comment. Or you can click on the strikethrough icon and then select the text you'd like to strikethrough.
Though there are many different kinds of tools for commenting PDF files, but the principle is much the same: select the annotation tool and then click on the PDF to give your comment.
Frankly speaking, Adobe Acrobat X Pro is very powerful. But it is a little complicated to operate on. This is the reason why so many people dislike Adobe Acrobat. There are many Adobe Acrobat alternatives in the market now, like Wondershare PDF Editor. Though much simpler and cheaper than Adobe Acrobat X Pro, it is far more adequate for you to edit and convert your PDF files.
