Its important to save to .iso files first before burning to dvdisc so that your able to test if your iso image is working. Some video's burned directly to disc will have errors like synchronized audio or no audio at all, etc. Even if your using re-writable discs, burning it more than once will overuse its surface and will have problems soon.
i think you don't need convert the mp4 to .iso, however, you can directly convert mp4 video to your disc
