To begin with, let's have a look at the primary window of Wondershare Dr.Fone for Android.
Step 1. Connect your Galaxy S3 Mini and enable USB debugging on it
After running the program, connect your device to the computer. When you get the window of the program below, you need to enable USB debugging on your device before scanning it.
You can follow the directions shown on the window above, or follow the guide below. There are different ways for devices with different Android OS. Choose the one for yours and follow it.
1) For Android 2.3 or earlier: Enter "Settings" < Click "Applications" < Click "Development" < Check "USB debugging"
2) For Android 3.0 to 4.1: Enter "Settings" < Click "Developer options" < Check "USB debugging"
3) For Android 4.2 or newer: Enter "Settings" < Click "About Phone" < Tap "Build number" for several times until getting a note "You are under developer mode" < Back to "Settings" < Click "Developer options" < Check "USB debugging"
Step 2. Scan your Galaxy S3 Mini for contacts
When you're here, make sure that the battery of your device is more than 20%, so that you can get a smooth scan and recovery later. Then click "Start" to let the program analyze your device before scanning it.
After a few seconds, you'll see an order from the Superuser Request popping up on the screen of your Galaxy S3 Mini. Just click "Allow" to let it get through. Then back to your computer and click the "Start" button to begin the scan.
Note: If you don't get the request on your device, it doesn't matter. You may not have the application installed on your device. The program will go forward to scan your device directly.
Step 3. Preview and recover contacts on your Galaxy S3 Mini
You'll see a scan result as follows after the scan. There, you can check all found data on your Galaxy SIII Mini. To preview contacts, click the category of "Contacts" on the left side of the window. You can preview the contact information one by one, like names, companies, job titles, phone numbers, etc. Choose what you want to recover and click "Recover" to save them to your computer with one click.
Note: Contacts displayed in the scan result contain deleted ones and existing ones. They have their own color (orange and black). You can use the button on the top to separate them if you have a need: Only display deleted items.
