How to perform iPhone memory data recovery
First of all, you need to get a right iPhone memory recovery software. There are not many, but there indeed is the kind of software. If you don't have an option, here is my recommendation: Wondershare Dr.Fone for iOS (Mac) or Wondershare Dr.Fone for iOS (Windows). Both of the software allow you to retrieve iPhone memory data by extracting iTunes backup as well as directly scan and recover data from iPhone memory cards.
You can get the free trial version to have a try. Do get the right one for your own iOS devices if you want to directly scan and recover data from iPhone memory.
Next, let's try Wondershare Dr.Fone for iOS (Windows) and check how to recover iPhone internal memory card data in steps. If you are a Mac user, please download the Mac version of Wondershare Dr.Fone for iOS to recover data in similar steps.
Important: In order to make sure that your lost data can be successfully recovered from iPhone memory, you'd better power off your iPhone and stop using it for anything including receiving calls, messages, etc. Any operation can overwrite your lost data.
Step 1. Connect your iPhone to the computer
Run Dr.Fone on your computer, and connect your iPhone. Then you'll get the interface below.
For using iPhone 5/4S:
For using iPhone 4/3GS: You need to download a plug-in here.
Step 2. Scan your iPhone memory
For iPhone 5/4S users, you can directly click Start Scan to begin scanning your iPhone. If you are an iPhone 4/3GS user, follow the steps below to get into the scanning mode to scan your iPhone memory for lost data:
- Hold your iPhone and click the Start button.
- Press Power and Home buttons on your dead iPhone at the same time for exactly 10 seconds. The Software will count time for you.
- When 10 seconds passed, release the Power button right away, but keep holding the Home button for another 15 seconds.
After you entered the system, the software will automatically scan your iPhone as follows.
Step 3. Preview & recover data from iPhone memory card
The scan will take you a while. You are allowed to preview the found data since the first file is found, and stop the scan when you've already got the lost data you want. Then mark those data and click "Recover" to save them on your computer.
Note: Data found in each category includes those deleted recently. You can check them by sliding the button on the top: Only display the deleted items.
