Hard Disk Mirroring Software: Backup Your PC
What is hard disk mirroring?
Hard disk mirroring is a process of making an exact synchronized copy of HDD data. Sometimes it is called synchronization, as it can be used to keep contents of two local or remote locations in sync. With hard disk mirroring software, you can restore a dead system to working order or to set up a few dozen PCs to work alike.
How to perform hard disk mirroring
First of all, you need a hard disk mirroring software: Wondershare WinSuite 2012.
After purchasing the program, you'll get a download link from Wondershare. Download and install it on your computer. Then follow the steps below to perform the hard disk mirroring in Windows.
Step1. Run the program on your computer
Run the program on your computer after downloading and installing. Move to the "Disk Management" option. Then you'll get the interface below. Click the "Clone Entire Disk" to continue.
Note: this "Clone Entire Disk" is not a normal one that can only backup your data. It can mirror your whole disk to another partition or disk, including Windows, programs, files and personal settings, etc.
Step2. Select the source disk
Here, all your disk on the computer will be detected and displayed by the software. Select the disk that you're about to mirror as teh source disk, and click "Next" to move to the next step.
Step3. Choose the destination disk
Make sure which disk you want to mirror your source disk to. Connect it well to the computer, and choose it here. Then press "Next", and you're starting hard disk mirroring.
Note: The destination disk should be larger than the source one, or you'll fail to mirror the disk.
Step4. Start to mirror your disk to another
When the disk mirroring begins, the software will remind you that the mirroring will overwrite all data on your destination disk. If you've backed up the data, confirm it and start mirroring. After a few seconds, you can finish you hard disk mirroring work as follow.
If you plan to only clone a partition, you can choose the "Clone A Partition" before the first step above, then the left steps as similar as the steps of cloning an entire disk. It's really a painless job. Try it by yourself now!
