How to Download and Convert YouTube to MPG
If you want to convert YouTube videos to MPG for some reason, like watching them on TV, you need a 3rd-party tool to help you. Note: For download online YouTube videos, this app is completely free. But if you want to download online videos form Metacafe, Vimeo, Break etc, you have to pay for the updated version.
Step 1: Find and play your wanted YouTube videos in Safari.
Step 2: You have three flexible ways to download YouTube videos for free:
- 1. After running this app, it'll automatically detect the videos playing, with a floating Download icon above it. Just click the Download button to download videos from YouTube.
- 2. Run this app. Go to its main menu, you can select "Downloads">"Enter a URL" option to copy the URL of the YouTube video.
- 3. Directly drag the video URL icon from the address bar to this app icon on the dock. You can find this app will automatically run and the video is downloading in its download list.
When the download process is finished, you can find the downloaded video in its library. This app also allows you to upload your local YouTube FLV video. Just go to "Library" > "Add FLV files to Library" menu to import your wanted FLV videos from Mac.
Note: For video conversion, you have to update the free version to the Paid version, which can convert almost any video format to all popular formats.
Step 1: Select the videos you want to convert
In this app's library, tick the boxes before the video items you want to convert. At this time, you'll notice the "Convert" button at the lower-right corner of the interface has become clickable.
Step 2: Convert YouTube to MPG
Just hit the "Convert" button to open the output format window, where you need to select "MPEG-1" or "MPEG-2" as the output format. Note that MPG is file extension for MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 files. When the conversion is over, you can get some .mpg files in the output folder.
