How Do I Export Or Move iMovie Files To iTunes?
After spending the hours and efforts into editing your video project on iMovie, you would certainly crack up if you get an error message saying that you are not able to share, export or move your iMovie files to iTunes. As a matter of fact, who won’t? But at least give it another check; is the video file size too large and you might not have the available disc space? Instead of sharing your iMovie files to iTunes directly, why don’t you try to export the video files? From there on, you can select the file size to export before saving it to your desktop. After that, add the video file into the iTunes library. It might take a while to refresh if the files are too big.
If it’s not coming up on your library list, the last option you might want to try is to give your computer a restart. If nothing changes, the likelihood is that the iMovie file is not compatible or supported by iTunes. Your video file needs to be saved as a .mov, .m4v or as .mp4 file before you transfer it from iMovie to iTunes. If it’s one of the above mentioned but was still rejected, you will need to convert and encode the files beforehand with a converter. My best suggestion would be the Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate for Mac.
Apart from supporting a wider range of output formats, the Video Converter Ultimate will also intelligently detect, convert and encode your video files so that it’s compatible for exporting your iMovie files to iTunes. There are only two simple steps involved. Try it for yourself.
1 Upload iMovie files
Prior to converting your iMovie files to iTune, you will need to save the iMovie project as a mov file format. After that, upload all the video files that you want to share to iTunes onto the Video Converter Ultimate. You can easily view the files added by scrolling up and down the screen because it’s neatly stacked on top of each another.
2 Convert iMovie files to iTunes
Select the output format that you prefer from the Video toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Once that is done, just click-on Convert to start your conversion. It won’t take you too long before you can share, export or move your converted iMovie files to iTunes.
Other than being able to share your iMovie files to iTunes, you can also convert your iMovie files so that it can be uploaded onto Facebook or YouTube. Simply check out other available options from the Web Sharing toolbar.
