How to Edit MPG Files
In this article, I mainly introduce an excellent MPG editor — Wondershare Video Editor (Filmroa for Mac(Originally Wondershare Video Editor for Mac)). It has very cool editing functions. For example, split, crop, trim, merge, rotate videos, and add text, watermark, transition effect and more. If you have loads of MPG files and want to edit MPG files to create your own great masterpieces, Wondershare MPG editing tool can be your best choice.
Download and install this smart MPG editor. And then follow the guide below to start editing MPG files. Note the guide here is right for Windows users. (Go here for Mac Users' Guide. )
Step 1: Import MPG files to the album of this MPG editor
Click "Import" option to import MPG files from your computer hard disk to the album of this MPG editing app. Or directly drag your local MPG files to the User' album.
Step 2: Edit MPG files
Drag your wanted MPG files from the Album to the Timeline at bottom one by one. Note that you don't put one video to another, or you'll split the original video. If necessary, you can drag the slide bar to adjust the view size of the Timeline to help you add multiple files without overlap. Then you can do some editing:
Delete video clips — highlight your unwanted video clips by a simple clicking, and then hit the "rubbish can" icon.
Rearrange videos clips — All added video clips on the Timeline are arranged according to the play order. If you want to rearrange video clips, just put one before or after another by dragging and dropping. Restate that don't put one on another, if not, you'll split the latter.
Split or cut video clips — Drag the top of the Timeline Indicator to any position you want and click the scissors button.
Add titles, transitions, effects and more — Just switch to Text, Effect, Transition or other tab, and then drag and drop an item you like to the Timeline. If you right click the added item, you'll have the option to reedit or delete it.
Note: all the editing effect can be viewed in real time as long as you press the Play button in the Preview window. Apart from these cool editing functions above, this app provides more, such as merging different audio files etc.
Step 3: Save the file
After editing, click "Create" to save the video.
