How Can I Change The Video's Bit Rate?

In most of our understanding, higher bit rate normally comes with more details which mean that it is contained in a bigger or larger file size. The recommended bit size for a video file is between 2,000 and 2500kbps. If you any higher than that, it will reach a diminishing point for the quality of your video. So, unless it is necessary, otherwise don’t increase the video bit rate any higher than it needs to. If you are not sure, then you can try to change your video bit rate with the Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate and compared the results.

The Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate offers you the flexibility to change, adjust or fix the bit rate of your videos. As a matter of fact, a change to the bit rate will only have a certain impact to the quality of your video. Therefore, you will need to adjust the settings accordingly with the other area of the video such as frame rate as well as resolution. There’s also an option called Smart Fit if you really don’t know or unsure of what settings you need to change for the bit rate and the rest.

1 To adjust video bit rate

Insert your desired video files into the video converter from its containing folder or simply drag-n-drop the files into the screen. If you needed to edit the video files before you change the bit rate, just click on the Edit button (on the right-hand side of the video file that you’ve just added). Otherwise, click on Settings (that’s been highlighted in red).

This option will help you to automatically change the bit rate. Or else, carefully change the bit rate to what is most appropriate for your video files. Once you’ve decided, click-on the Convert button.

3 Convert video files (after changing bit rate)

You would then notice that the Convert button has changed to a Cancel button. The progress of changing bit rate would also be displayed as a progress on the uploaded video file with the percentage shown in the arrow icon. If you have to stop the process, just click-on the Cancel button. There is also a Pause function if you ever needed to put it at a halt.
