Download, install and run this app. And then load your wanted MKV files for adding SRT subtitles. Go to "Convert" tab>”Add Files” option to import the MKV files you want to add subtitles. If your MKV files are at hand, just drag them to this app.
2 Merge SRT with MKV
In the video file bar, hit the “Edit” button. In the popping up editing interface, there are four tabs on the left side. And the last one is the “Subtitle” tab. Just click it, and then import your local SRT files by opening the "Subtitle" drop-down list. If need, you can also do some other settings like size and color etc. When everything is ok, just hit “OK”.
Note: This app allows you to view the effect in real time. First hit the video item bar in the left pane, and then press the “Play” button under the preview window in the right side.

After you satisfy the video effect, you can export the new file just by pressing the “Convert” button. However, there is one thing you need to notice. You must make sure the output format is MKV, or you need to select it from the output format list. To do it, just click the format icon in the "Output Format" pane to open the output format window and then go to "Format">"Video">” MKV”. To find the new files after conversion, you can click the "Open Folder" button in the main interface. Just have a try!
